Brent Woods
Inner World Artist Management is led by Brent Woods, a highly accomplished arts administrator, educator, and production specialist with more than forty years of diverse experience across nonprofit arts organizations, higher education, and commercial entertainment. IWAM provides management, technical, production, and administrative services to artists and small-to-midsize arts organizations working locally, nationally, and internationally.

He formerly served as the Managing Director at The Philadelphia Dance Company (Philadanco!) and as the Senior Director of Arts and Culture at Montgomery County Community College. In the latter role, he successfully oversaw the entire Arts and Culture Department, including the prestigious Lively Arts Series and the Fine Arts Galleries.
His tenure in the arts encompasses roles as an Arts Administrator, Tour Manager, Production Manager, Lighting Designer, Company Manager, and Stage Manager. This extensive background provides a comprehensive perspective on the lifecycle of creative production.
An experienced educator, Brent is an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Arts Administration Program at Drexel University (since 2017), where he teaches the Performing Arts Management course.
His touring and production credits span the globe and cover diverse genres:
Credits include Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Headlong Dance Theatre, Urban Bush Women, Karen Bamonte Dance Works, Lula Washington Dance Ensemble, Freedom Theatre, The New York Theatre Workshop, and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival.
His operational expertise has supported productions at renowned institutions such as the American Dance Festival, Lincoln Center Dance Series, The Kennedy Center, The Joyce Theater, City Center Fall for Dance Festival, the Annenberg Center, The International Festival of Arts and Ideas, and the Warsaw State Theatre in Warsaw, Poland.
He also held key production positions with Opera Philadelphia and Stage Crew at the Santa Fe Opera.

As Production Manager/Lighting Director for Headlong Dance Theater’s runaway hit Hotel Pool, he managed the technical rider and packaged the entire production for two successful site-specific tours to Mass MoCA and the Time-Based Art (TBA) Festival in Portland, Oregon. He also simultaneously coordinated logistics for This Town is a Mystery, which ran in four private homes across Philadelphia.
He was hired by Dayton Contemporary Dance Company as Production Manager/Lighting Director to oversee the remounting and lighting of twelve unique, historical works by African American choreographers for filming and performance at the American Dance Festival and the Kennedy Center in 1998 (Free to Dance Project).
Cultural Celebrations: He served as Production Manager and Lighting Designer for the African American Museum in Philadelphia for PhilAesthetic: Celebrating the Black Arts Movement in Philadelphia.
